Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

GYANEXIS is an online learning platform offering quizzes, test series, study notes, previous-year question papers, practice sets, video lessons and games, together with XP, ranks, a leaderboard, GE coins and rewards.

These Terms apply to everyone who uses GYANEXIS, whether as a guest or with an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of this agreement.

2. Definitions

• GYANEXIS, we, us: the operator of the GYANEXIS website at gyanexis.com.
• You: any person who visits or uses GYANEXIS.
• Account: the registered profile you create with your email address.
• Quiz: a set of timed questions in a category, played level by level.
• Test series: a fixed set of practice-test questions.
• XP: experience points earned from quiz answers. XP sets your rank and leaderboard position.
• GE or GE coins: the points GYANEXIS credits to an Account for correct answers.
• Reward: an item in the reward catalogue that can be requested with GE.
• Reward request: your request to exchange GE for a Reward.
• Study material: notes, question papers, practice sets, videos and similar learning content.
• Administrator: a person authorised by GYANEXIS to manage the platform.

3. Who can use GYANEXIS

GYANEXIS is an educational service and may be used by students. We do not ask for or verify your age.

• If you are under 18, you may use GYANEXIS only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
• A Reward request involves payment details. If you are under 18, it must be made by, or with the help of, your parent or guardian.
• You must not use GYANEXIS if the law that applies to you does not allow it, or if we have closed or blocked an account of yours for breaking these Terms.

GYANEXIS is operated from India and rewards are paid in Indian rupees. If you use it from another country, you are responsible for following your local law.

4. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you tick the box "I agree to the Terms and Conditions and acknowledge the Privacy Policy" while registering. Registration cannot be completed without it, and we record the version you accepted and when.

If you use GYANEXIS without an account, these Terms apply to that use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use GYANEXIS.

5. What GYANEXIS provides

• Quizzes in several categories, played in levels of 20 questions.
• Test series for practice.
• Study notes, previous-year question papers, practice sets and video lessons.
• For registered learners: saved progress, XP, levels, ranks, a leaderboard, GE coins and Rewards.
• Games, a contact form, support chat and a feedback form.

GYANEXIS is not a school, university, examination board, government body or recruitment agency, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

6. Your account and its security

• Give accurate information when you register and keep it correct.
• Each person may have one Account. You must not create an account in someone else's name or operate several accounts to earn XP, GE or Rewards.
• You must not sell, rent, lend or transfer your Account, or let someone else play on it.
• Keep your password and one-time codes private. We will never ask you for them by email or chat.
• Tell us promptly through the Contact page if you think someone else has used your Account.

You are responsible for activity on your Account that results from your not keeping your sign-in details safe. We are responsible for taking reasonable care of the systems we run.

7. Quiz and test rules

Guests can play quizzes for practice, but only registered learners earn XP and GE or appear on the leaderboard.

Mistakes in questions

A question or its answer may occasionally be wrong, unclear or out of date. If you find one, please report it through the Contact page. Where we confirm a mistake, we will correct or remove the question, and we may adjust affected scores, XP or GE where that is practical.

8. XP, levels and ranks

• Each correct quiz answer earns 1 XP.
• A correct answer given between 1.5 and 4 seconds after the question appears earns 1 extra XP.
• Every tenth correct answer within a level earns a bonus of 10 XP.

Rank XP is reset every two months, and everyone starts the new period from Spark. Your lifetime XP and your GE balance are not affected by the reset.

XP, levels and ranks are for motivation only. They have no monetary value and are not a qualification or certificate.

9. GE coins

• GE is credited only to registered Accounts and only for answers recorded by our server.
• GE cannot be bought, sold, gifted or transferred to another Account.
• GE is not money, legal tender or a bank or wallet balance. Its only use is to request Rewards under section 10.
• GE does not expire while your Account exists. It is lost if your Account is deleted.
• Your profile shows every credit and debit of GE.

10. Rewards

Rewards are a way of recognising learning activity. You do not pay, deposit or stake anything to take part, and no reward depends on chance.

• Catalogue: the Rewards page lists the Rewards currently available. At present these are cash Rewards from ₹30 to ₹1,000, at a rate of 100 GE for ₹1, so the smallest Reward needs 3,000 GE.
• Requesting: when you have enough GE you can request a Reward, choose a payout method (UPI, PayPal or bank transfer) and enter the details for it. The GE is deducted from your balance when you submit the request.
• Review: every request is reviewed by an Administrator. We do not promise a fixed processing time.
• Approval: if the request is approved, the Reward is paid to the payout details you gave and we email you.
• Rejection: if the request is rejected, the full GE is returned to your balance and we tell you the reason.
• Your details: you are responsible for giving correct payout details. We cannot recover a payment made to wrong details that you supplied.
• Taxes: you are responsible for any tax that applies to you on a Reward you receive, unless the law requires us to deduct it.

11. Reward review and misuse

A Reward request may be held or rejected, and GE or XP obtained unfairly may be removed, where we have reasonable grounds to believe that:

• the GE was earned using bots, scripts, automation, altered requests or a software fault;
• more than one Account is being used by the same person, or an Account has been shared, sold or transferred;
• the payout details are false, belong to someone else without their permission, or cannot be verified;
• the request breaks these Terms or the law, or paying it would be unlawful.

We will tell you the reason for a rejection. If you think a decision is wrong, you can ask us to review it under section 21. GE that was earned fairly is not removed because of a rejection: it is returned to your balance.

12. Leaderboard

The leaderboard ranks registered learners by quiz XP earned in the current two-month rank period and is updated as results are recorded. It shows your name, user ID, avatar, XP and rank to other signed-in learners. Results found to be obtained unfairly may be removed from it.

13. Study material and accuracy

• Study material and questions are provided for learning and practice. We take reasonable care, but they may contain errors or become out of date.
• For examination dates, syllabuses, rules and results, the official examination authority is the only authoritative source.
• GYANEXIS does not guarantee marks, ranks, selection, admission, employment or any other examination outcome.
• We may add, change or remove study material at any time.

Previous-year question papers are papers set by the relevant examination or university authority. GYANEXIS does not claim ownership of them; they are made available for study, and rights in them remain with their owners.

14. Ownership of content

The GYANEXIS name, logo, mascot, website design, software and the original questions, notes and graphics we create belong to GYANEXIS or its licensors. Material from other sources belongs to its owners.

You may use GYANEXIS and download study material for your own personal study. You must not, without our written permission:

• copy, republish, sell or redistribute GYANEXIS content;
• collect questions, answers or study material in bulk, or build a database from them;
• use the GYANEXIS name, logo or mascot in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you.

Copyright complaints

If you believe material on GYANEXIS infringes your copyright, email support@gyanexis.com with: the work concerned, where the material appears on GYANEXIS, your contact details, and a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner. We will review the complaint and remove or restrict material where it is justified.

15. What you submit

You can send us support and contact messages and submit feedback with a star rating. You keep ownership of what you write.

• You allow us to store and read your messages so we can reply and operate the service.
• If you submit feedback, you allow us to display it on GYANEXIS with your name, avatar and rating if an Administrator approves it. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
• Do not include confidential information, or personal information about other people, that you are not entitled to share.

We may decline to publish, or may remove, anything that breaks section 16.

16. What you must not do

• Cheat: use bots, scripts, automation or any tool to answer quizzes for you, alter timers, scores or requests, or exploit a fault instead of reporting it.
• Abuse rewards: use several accounts, false identities or false payout details, or work with others to obtain GE or Rewards unfairly.
• Attack the service: try to access accounts, data or areas you are not authorised to use, probe for weaknesses, get around security or request limits, overload the service, or upload harmful code.
• Extract content: scrape or bulk-download questions, study material or leaderboard data by automated means.
• Send harmful content: submit anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, exploitative of children, infringing, or that impersonates another person.
• Spam: misuse the contact, support or feedback forms.

Ordinary use of assistive technology, such as a screen reader, is welcome and is not a breach of this section.

17. Advertising, other services and links

GYANEXIS does not currently show third-party advertising, and no Reward depends on viewing or clicking an advertisement. If that changes, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy first.

GYANEXIS uses other providers to deliver email, typefaces, some images and video lessons (which are played through YouTube), and links to other websites. Those services are run by other organisations under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. The Privacy Policy lists them.

18. Payments

Everything on GYANEXIS is free. We do not sell anything, charge any fee or take payment details from you for using it, so there is nothing to refund or cancel. If a paid feature is ever introduced, its price and terms will be shown clearly before you are asked to pay.

19. Privacy and messages from us

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and your choices, including how to delete your Account.

We send service emails that are needed to run your Account: one-time codes, password and security notices, Reward request updates and support replies. We also send learning-update and reward-reminder emails, which you can switch off in your profile.

20. Availability and technical errors

We aim to keep GYANEXIS available but cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. It may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, security reasons or failures of services we depend on.

If a clear technical error causes an incorrect score, XP, GE balance, leaderboard position or duplicate credit, we may correct it. We will not use this to change results that were recorded correctly.

21. Restriction and closing of accounts

By you

You can delete your Account at any time from your profile. There is a 76-minute period in which you can cancel. After that the Account, its history and its GE are permanently removed, and any Reward request still pending is deleted with it. The Privacy Policy describes what little is kept.

By us

We may restrict or block an Account where we have reasonable grounds to believe these Terms have been seriously or repeatedly broken, where it is needed to protect other learners or the service, or where the law requires it. When we block an Account we email the reason.

Asking for a review

If your Account is restricted or a Reward request is rejected and you believe that is wrong, contact us through the Contact page from your registered email address and explain why. A person will review it and reply. We cannot promise a particular result.

22. Changes to the service and these Terms

• The service: we may add, change or withdraw features, questions and study material.
• Reward rules: we may change how GE is earned, the daily limit, the Reward catalogue, the conversion rate or the payout methods for the future. A Reward request you have already submitted is handled under the rules that applied when you submitted it. If the Reward programme is closed, we will give notice on the site so that learners with enough GE can submit a request before it ends, unless the law requires it to stop immediately.
• These Terms: the dates and version at the top show the current version. Small corrections take effect when published. For changes that significantly affect your rights or how Rewards work, we will notify registered learners by email or by a notice on the site before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using GYANEXIS and delete your Account.

23. Disclaimers and liability

GYANEXIS is provided free of charge for education. We provide it with reasonable care, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular examination.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

• indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of opportunity, examination results or expected rewards;
• loss caused by services we do not control, including your internet connection, your payment provider or other websites;
• loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, government action or widespread network failure;
• loss resulting from your own breach of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for deliberate wrongdoing, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

If you break these Terms or the law while using GYANEXIS and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable losses that result directly from your actions.

24. Law, disputes and your statutory rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If it is not resolved, either of us may take the dispute to the courts or authorities that have jurisdiction under the applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have as a consumer or under any other law that cannot be removed by agreement, including your right to approach a consumer forum or other statutory authority.

25. General

• Whole agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about GYANEXIS. The Privacy Policy governs how personal information is handled.
• If part is invalid: if a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest continues to apply.
• No waiver: if we do not enforce a term on one occasion, we may still enforce it later.
• Transfer: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the GYANEXIS service, provided your rights are not reduced.
• No other relationship: using GYANEXIS does not make you our employee, partner or agent.
